The Ministry of Health was established in 1370H. The Ministry has many tasks and responsibilities, providing health care at all levels, promoting public health and preventing diseases through an integrated system of modern health facilities and specialized medical centers.
Health launched a package of initiatives and specific programs, including:

- Vaccinations Reminder Service
- Business Service Center
- Sa udi Patient Safety Center
- National Center for Disease Control and Protection (Saudi CDC)
- Global Center for Mass Gatherings Medicine (GCMGM)
The health and quality of life in each Hajj season is carried out by Save Life, which includes the provision of free specialized health services including open heart surgery, cardiac catheterization, peritoneal and blood dialysis, gastrointestinal endoscopy, birth and other specialized services needed by pilgrims.
MOH Vision:
A health system that contributes to the promotion, protection and care of the health of the individual and society and the achievement of the objectives of the National Transition Program 2020 and the objectives of the vision of the Kingdom 2030 in the health aspect.
MOH Mission
The provision of health care at all levels, the promotion of public health, the prevention of diseases, the development of laws and regulations governing the public and private health sector, and the monitoring of its performance, with attention to research, academic training and health investment areas.
