Saudi Arabia Celebrates World Patient Safety Day 2025

​The Kingdom participates in the celebration of World Patient Safety Day, which falls annually on the seventeenth of September, under the theme "Patient Safety from the Start," affirming the importance of promoting the safety of children and newborns from the very first moments of their lives. This participation comes within the framework of supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program, towards building a vibrant society that enjoys health and quality of life. In this context, the Saudi Patient Safety Center launched a package of diverse events and programs aimed at raising awareness of the importance of child and newborn safety in healthcare, and empowering families and healthcare practitioners to apply best practices to ensure safe healthcare. The events include lighting up several prominent landmarks and towers in various regions of the Kingdom in orange to symbolize patient safety, in addition to organizing scientific lectures for healthcare practitioners, and launching awareness campaigns through road screens and social media platforms to reinforce child safety messages. The activation also includes cooperation with several entities, including the Ministry of Sports and the Saudi Sports for All Federation, to organize sports and community events, and produce educational materials tailored for children and their families, ensuring that awareness messages reach all segments of society. On this occasion, the Director General of the Saudi Patient Safety Center, Dr. Ali bin Tala Asiri, affirmed that the Center is advancing its efforts to promote the culture and practices of patient safety from the earliest stages, in line with the Vision's objectives of building a vibrant society whose members enjoy the highest levels of health and quality of life.​​​
