Launch of the Saudi Patient Safety Center’s Educational Platform

The Saudi Patient Safety Center launched its e-learning platform during its participation in the Global Health Exhibition 2025, in a qualitative step aimed at enabling healthcare practitioners to develop their skills and enhance their professional competencies. This contributes to strengthening patient safety concepts within healthcare facilities across the Kingdom, reducing risks, and improving the quality of healthcare services ​​The center's educational platform serves as a digital gateway for interactive self-learning, enabling healthcare practitioners to train anytime and anywhere through electronic scientific content accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and the National eLearning Center. This provides trainees with continuous professional development opportunities that meet recognized national standards The platform includes a number of specialized educational programs in patient safety, most notably the Basic Patient Safety Training Program, which aims to establish core patient safety concepts and enhance the practices of healthcare workers. It also includes the “Choosing Wisely" program, which highlights the national experience in improving value-based healthcare by guiding patients and healthcare practitioners toward more informed and efficient decisions The Director General of the Saudi Patient Safety Center, Dr. Ali bin Tala Asiri, emphasized that the educational platform represents a pivotal step in the journey to develop national competencies in the field of patient safety.
