Celebrating the winners of the National Patient Safety Award 2021

Under the patronage of His Excellency, the Minister of Health. Eng. Fahad Bin Abdulrahman Aljalajel, the Saudi Center for Patient Safety honored the National Patient Safety Award in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Mansour bin Nasser Al-Hawasi.
Honoring the winners comes in appreciation of their valuable participation in their projects in the field of patient safety. The award aims to identify successful and effective patient safety innovations, in order to enhance the organizational culture of health safety, to encourage these winning projects and to generalize their experience to all health care facilities and community organizations, and to improve the quality of health care in the Kingdom.
The award, in its fourth edition, witnessed many participations from different categories in the health field, as the award Judges worked during the last period to sort the entries and nominate the winning projects for the National Patient Safety Award for the year 2021.
In conclusion, the awarded organizations of the NPSA in the Maternal and Newborn Safety Track:
King Abdulaziz Hospital- Al Ahsa
King Saud Medical City- Riyadh
And in the General Patient Safety Track:
Health Services General Directorate, Ministry of Defense – Riyadh
King Fahd Military Medical Complex- Al Dhahran
The Director-General of the Saudi Center for Patient Safety, Dr. Yasser Alaska, extended his congratulations and gratitude to the health care facilities that received the award and the participant's teams. For his part, the Director-General of the Center stressed that the aim of the award is not only to shed light on the distinguished projects that bear the characteristic of continuous positive progress in patient-centered health care but also to share those projects with all health facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to reach safer health care standards for all.
