Terms of Use – Saudi Patient Safety Center Portal
The electronic portal of the Saudi Patient Safety Center (referred to hereafter as “the Portal" or “SPSC Portal") is made available for your personal use. Your access and use of this Portal are subject to these Terms of Use and the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. By accessing and using this Portal, whether as a registered or unregistered user, you agree unconditionally to abide by these terms, effective from the date of your first use.
The information provided through this Portal is for awareness and educational purposes only, and any use thereof is solely at the user's own responsibility.
Use of the Portal includes various terms and conditions that are subject to ongoing revisions and updates as deemed necessary. Any amendment or update shall become effective immediately upon its approval by the Portal Administration. You are therefore required to regularly review the Terms of Use and Disclaimer to stay informed of any updates, as your continued use of the Portal constitutes full acceptance of any such changes. These terms also include intellectual property rights, and the Portal Administration is not obliged to announce any such changes.
Restrictions on Use
By using the SPSC Portal, you agree to refrain from:
- Uploading files that contain software, materials, data, or other information that you do not own or are not licensed to use.
- Using the Portal to send unsolicited commercial emails or any form of spam.
- Uploading files that contain viruses or corrupted data.
- Publishing, distributing, or disseminating defamatory, unlawful, obscene, indecent, religiously offensive, or inappropriate content through the Portal.
- Engaging in any illegal or unauthorized activities via the Portal.
- Advertising products or services that may place the Center in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Using any software, tools, or routines to interfere with the proper operation of the Portal.
- Performing any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Portal's infrastructure.
Linking to the Portal
Except as expressly stated, no part of this Portal may be copied, replicated, or linked to from other websites without written permission. However, links to the SPSC Portal may be placed on websites whose objectives do not conflict with the policies and frameworks of the SPSC.
The Center reserves the right to disable any link to websites containing inappropriate, offensive, illegal, or infringing content or materials. It also disclaims any responsibility for content on third-party websites linked to or from the Portal.
External Links from the Portal
Links to external websites are provided for user convenience only. The SPSC bears no responsibility for the content, accuracy, or credibility of any external sites, and accessing such links is done at the user's own risk. but cannot guarantee continuous availability or functionality.
Virus Protection
We make every effort to scan and test content at all stages of production. It is recommended that users employ antivirus software when downloading materials from the internet. The SPSC is not liable for any damage or loss caused by accessing this Portal or downloading materials from it.
Disclaimer
The Portal, its content, services, and functionalities are provided “as is" and “as available," without any warranties or guarantees of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Portal will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that defects will be corrected.
Any data or communication sent through the Portal is not considered confidential or proprietary. The SPSC assumes no obligation or liability for user submissions, and such submissions do not grant the user any rights or privileges.
Waiving any provision of these terms in one instance does not constitute a waiver in future instances.
Limitation of Liability
The online services offered through the Portal are intended to simplify procedures. However, users acknowledge that internet communications may be subject to interference or interception. The Portal does not replace official information provided by the relevant authorities.
Accordingly, use of this Portal is at your own risk. The SPSC shall not be liable for any damages arising from access to or reliance on the Portal, including but not limited to delays, connectivity issues, hardware or software failures, or user behavior. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to discontinue use of the Portal. The Center reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Portal, or any of its features, at any time without notice.
Termination of Use
The Center has the authority to deny access to the Portal to any individual who violates the terms and conditions of use or engages in any other conduct deemed unlawful by the Center.
Intellectual Property Rights
The Portal is managed by the Information Technology Department at the Saudi Patient Safety Center. All content, including graphics, code, and information, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Personal, non-commercial use of the Portal's content is permitted provided proper attribution is given. However, no part of the content may be sold, copied, modified, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from the SPSC.
Any modification of the Portal content is strictly prohibited.
Jurisdiction
You agree that the courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from your use of the Portal. Arabic shall be the governing language in any legal matters.
General Provisions
- All information and content on the Portal are for non-commercial awareness purposes.
- Arabic is the primary language of the Portal. Translations are for convenience only and are not legally binding.
- All regulations published are subject to official Arabic texts and may not be interpreted based on translations.
- The Portal includes user interaction tools such as polls, subscriptions, SMS, and hotlines. Use of these services implies acceptance of their respective terms.
- The Center reserves the right to delete or withhold any user comments or content deemed inappropriate.
