The importance and value of the National Patient Safety Award is one of the initiatives of the Saudi Center for Patient Safety in the Health Sector, which aims to reduce the medical errors and damages resulting from the Saudi health system. The award will be presented to three main categories, including health facilities, health practitioners and community members. The first prize is allocated to the category of health facilities, including the best hospital, best medical center, best primary health care center, or best pharmacy. The second prize is for the category of health practitioners and will be awarded to the best doctor, best nurse, best pharmacist, or best leader. The third category prize is dedicated to the best community personality. The award is supervised by a panel of experts, including local and international experts on patient safety.
